Many newcomers first hear about A.A.s life saving message through the volunteer work of our A.A. members serving on these committees.

Area 34’s southern border begins at the Indiana state line and extends north along Michigan’s west coast of Lake Michigan, including the eastern Upper Peninsula to the Canadian border at Sault Ste. Marie.

The distance from our southernmost to northernmost district is approximately 600 driving miles. This geographic span can make in-person committee work challenging.

Technology tools such as video conferencing and chat groups are proving indispensable, allowing us to reach the still-suffering alcoholic and enabling our service committees to meet online—uniting our Fellowship across the entire Area like never before.

Committee chairs: Would you like to organize you committee with an online meeting?
